I have installed Drupal applience as VM with VirtualBox. I can login to Drupal, everything is fine, but there is a new releas for it and I need to know hou to install it.

Are you using the Drupal 7 appliance?
If so, it has Drush installed which makes it really easy.
IIRC it's something like (from the command line):
Done! :)
Although I'm no expert with Drupal or Drush so YMMV. If it doesn't work as intended I suggest that you give Drush a google and have a bit of a read. It's great for installing modules and themes too!
