Short Bio

I worked in Telecommunications and IT from 1982 to 2017 in Australia and the United States of America. Primarily focused on server administration and end-user support, I spent the last few years of my IT career as a Helpdesk Management specialist. That meant finding the problems for clients' helpdesk issues (software, hardware and wetware) and fixing them. Since mid-2017 I've changed my career and work as a tram driver on the world's biggest tram network in Melbourne, Australia. I still do some work in the IT sphere writing and editing software and hardware manuals having just completed a setup manual for the Odroid H3 SBC, which I am using now as my daily driver. 2024 sees me upgrading my home lab to an all open source server stack running on HP hardware.
