Hi.

I am running a Ushahidi deployment using Turnkey Linux.    I am trying to update the version from 2.6.1 to 2.7.4 but in theory  I need an FTP Hostname,  FTP Username, and FTP password of the FTP server my website is hosted on.

I don't have a clue of

a) I have an FTP server as part of my deployment

b) how to get the FTP server info

Can sombeody in this forum give me hand?

Thanks!

However it does include SFTP (FTP over SSH). By default you can use your root user and password. Be aware though that this may not work...

Other options are to install an FTP server or manually download the required files...

If you keep in mind that under the hood TurnKey Linux is Debian (TKL v13 = Debian Wheezy) then google should help if you want to install an FTP server. There are plenty available using apt; vsftpd and proftp are the 2 that come to mind...
