Editing video with free software is not what I would call by any stretch
easy. For what it's worth newer versions of Gnome support built in
screencasting capability, though to edit you would still need a video
editor. I was secretly hoping someone out there would enlighten me on an
option I had missed. Something equivalent to the video version of Gimp.
I was desperate enough to try video editing on my Android tablet.
