I've hit a wall with the upgrade. I have no idea why GitLab won't start, have recieved no response from my post on the GitLab mailing list and have no time currently to play more.
One thing that has occurred to me is that perhaps an incremental path may be the way to go. The benefit of that is that it can be built on. I have an idea of how we could do that but as I say I just don't have any spare time for it at the moment.
Whilst it would be nice to have the appliance upgradable, for the moment I am using it inhouse (ie only accessable via LAN) so I don't really need it updated (but it would be nice) so beyond investing time when I have it I am not (yet) willing to invest cash. If we were then perhaps Adrian (Moya) may be another option. I know that he is not involved lots here at TKL these days but he has been a wonderful assistance in the past and may be willing to help out the TKL community again?
