Hi all,
Having some strange issues with networking and cannot get any info from logs.
I might turn up the log level to see what happens but basically mysql appliance runs fine 90% of the time and then every now and then is unreachable through any port tested except 22 (Putty) and 5900 (VNC Console) (tested 80, 3306, 443). If I restart the network ie /etc/init.d/networking restart it all comes good!
My appliance is on proxmox and behind a firewall router but they do not seem to be an issue (as a simple reset of the network fixes the issue).
Any hints? its starting to give me the %$#@!
This database was restored from another machine (technically this is a migration)... stumped!

I just re-installed it and issue went away
I have a feeling it was the TKLBAM restore/migration that caused the problem.
I noticed the status screen after logging in through putty said my ip address was the old address but it was working intermittantly through the new address. I manually checked the networking config files but with the exception of /etc/hosts it all seemed ok.
New install working flawlessly!

If anyone is interested
I have tracked down the issue but am not sure how to solve it.
It turns out that when I access phpmyadmin to modify something and forget to log out the error occurs.
Session is set for 1440 seconds (24 mins).
Is there a simple way around this ie when sessions time out they close the database properly?
