Short Bio

I'm a Business Intelligence specialist.  After spending many years implementing high-priced monolithic BI systems for big companies, I've made the decision to try to build or assemble cost-effective open-source BI systems.

A good example would be "Pentaho" at http://www.pentaho.com .  They have Enterprise editions of their BI tools and community editions.  There may be some value in building a turnkey system with the community edition of Pentaho, including Tomcat and either MySQL or PostgreSQL.

I'm a complete newbie to turnkey linux, but have some experience with Ubuntu.
